Ricky Don Perry went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening, May 21, 2018. Rick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicki Lynn Perry, his only daughter Lynsey Suann Perry and his mother Mary Ann Gray. Rick was born March 10, 1958 in Memphis TN. At the young age of fifteen, he moved to Gates TN and lived with his grandparents Vester and Elsie Shepard. Rick married the love of his life Vicki Lynn Gwaltney of Halls TN when he was seventeen, the two were married for almost a full forty-three years before his death. After twenty years of marriage the couple had their only daughter which they both cherished greatly. Please come and celebrate Rick's life with us on June 9th at the Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm.The family wishes to give Rick one last ride with the club he started many years ago, known as the "Southern Cruisers Riding Club." Rick will be riding in front with his daughter and his best friend Bill Presley (President of SCRC) and the two will lead the ride. The funeral procession will be escorted and all motorcycles are welcome to lead with the immediate family. We ask all other vehicles follow behind the bikes and the family for safety purposes. There will also be another brief service at the Gates TN cemetery. We hope to see everyone there for his last memorial ride.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.Read Obituary

"Rickster" had a dream and that dream was to bring people together with the love of riding motorcycles and sharing that love and dream to make SCRC the best riding club anywhere in the world. He also had a dream to help the kids of St. Jude`s Children Hosp.
Both came true. He joined brother and sister bikers together . I have enjoyed it all. Love and Respect Brother. Thanks Rick for all you done.

Rick touched many lives while he was here. Years ago he had a vision of a group of people to ride with. Although it started as a local club, it grew like wildfire. 20 years later this group of folks to ride with now spans our globe. The club not only rides but they promote camaraderie and fellowship with all they share the road with. Due to Rick's dream and efforts this club has raised millions of dollars for different charities and those who sought assistance in the communities the Chapters reside in. I am deeply appreciative for all the smiles for miles it has brought me. My Sincere Respects and Condolences to Vicki, Lynsey, Ms Ann and the rest of Rick's immediate family.
