Marshall Darrell Starr (1932-2018) was a Godly Christian man who loved the Lord and was a retired building manager for the Federal Building in Memphis. He served as an usher, greeter, and as a board member at Randolph United Methodist Church and Elm Grove United Methodist Church in Burlison, TN. He also served Meals on Wheels to the elderly. He and his wife, Tula Starr, enjoyed visiting with their Frayser Heights United Methodist Church family friends for over forty years. The most important concerns in his life were his family and friends. Marshall also was an Army veteran who served honorably in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Tula Fincher Starr, his sons; Mark Starr and Jeff Starr, his daughter, Becky Starr Glisson; and his grandchildren to include Matthew Starr, Heather Glisson Moore, Adam Starr, Hollie Glisson Harris, and Mary Sue Glisson; and five great grandchildren AJ Glisson, Aiden Harris, Brandon Moore Jr, Alivia Moore, and Ava Starr Harris. His two sisters are Angie Starr Story and Carol Starr Adams and one sister-in-law is Mildred Atkinson Starr. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 10, at Munford Funeral Home in Munford, TN at 10:30 a.m. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. that same morning.
