The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, December 1 at Munford Funeral Home, Munford Chapel. Service, 2 p.m., Sunday, December 2, at Munford Chapel. Interment in Randolph Cemetery. Mrs. Ballard was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Howard Ballard, parents, Grady and Adele Layton, and two sisters, Peggy Hathcock and Brenda Bowers. She leaves a daughter, Cynthia Smith (Brandon); son, James Ballard; sisters, Joyce Perry and Pamela Colson, and one grandchild, Corbin Smith. Fed me more than once when I was stationed twice in Millington, she would fry 2 chickens one for me and one for her, Uncle Steve, jay and Cindy. LOL Loved her Chocolate Pie. So sorry Jay, Cindy lost a mother and Corbin has lost his Grandmother.
