Kenneth Lamar (Ken)

Kenneth Ray Lamar (Ken) of Millington was born April 3rd, 1950, and passed away February 8th, 2018, at his home and on his own terms. For anyone who knew him, it really was on his own terms. He was a man who loved cars, cussing, friends, family, and beer, but not necessarily in that order. A man who would give anyone the shirt off his back. A man who didn’t always follow the rules and many loved him because of these qualities. He fought one heck of a fight. When given six months to live he said, “f*** that, it’ll be over 3 years”. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lamar and Evangeline Meredith Lamar and his sister, Kathleen Lamar. He leaves behind his wife, Debra, of 45 years which is a lifetime for some, y’all. He leaves his only child, Melissa Mayse, her husband Jason, and three granddaughters Kirsten, Lauren Kate, and Meredith, who lovingly called him Grumpy. He also leaves a sister, Brenda Lamar Smith and husband, Don of Heber Springs, Arkansas. The family will hold a private memorial.
