Joann Rosas

Joanna Tate Rosas was born on July 29. 1932 in Lilbourn, Missouri and departed to be with her Lord on September 14, 2018 from her home in Lucy, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Roland Tate and Mamie Carr Pemberton Tate, her brother Harold, sisters Ruby (Cecil) Foster, Geraldine (Robert) Timbs, Marietta (Bill) Carter, brother-in-law Gene Wood, granddaughter Sara Catherine Rosas, and great granddaughter Logan Ann Worden. Joanna graduated from Millington Central High School in 1951. She worked as a Library Technician and retired from the Naval Air Station Memphis base library in 1998. She was an active member of Lucy Baptist Church, where she was involved in several ministries during the last 55 years. Her hobbies included reading and serving others in the community. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior, a loving mother and sister, and as a servant to those in need. She is survived by her sisters Betty Wood and Pansy Wooster, children Joey (Pam) Rosas, Ray (Laura) Rosas, Mark (Lynn) Rosas, Regina (Steve) Lambert, Michael (Kelli) Rosas, grandchildren Justin Rosas, Ashley (Chris) Swearingen, Jayson Nadal, Jessica (Corey) Weaver, Sandra Rosas, Mathew Schrader, Hannah Schrader, Jacob Rosas, Alex (Hannah) Rosas, Wesley (Allison) Lambert, Tyler Lambert, Bella Lambert, Carlos Rodriguez, John Michael (Caitlyn) Rosas, Kyle (Marisa) Rosas, Morgan Rosas, Chandler Rosas, great grandchildren Jameson, Rhett, Jaydon, Jayse, Cristian, Cortland, Isabella, Kaylie, Amelia, Aiden, Brody, Lillian Hope, Harlee, Lillian Jordyn, Anabelle, Helen Claire and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life services were held Monday, September 17, 2018 at Lucy Baptist Church with family graveside services on Tuesday, September 18, at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lucy Baptist Church, 4005 Lucy Road, Millington, TN 38053.
