Jo Eileen Shoemaker

On Saturday, January 5th, 2019, Jo (Eileen) Shoemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away after a long battle with appendix cancer at the age of 56. Eileen was born on December 29th, 1962 in Camp Lejeune, NC to Bernard and Patricia (Summers) Donoghue. She Married her Husband, Allen William Shoemaker Jr. on December 15th, 1984. They raised a son, David Allen Shoemaker, and a daughter, Jennifer Ann (Shoemaker) Delph. Eileen had such a love for life and everyone around her. She has always been known for her quick wit, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, her kind and compassionate spirit, and her strong faith. Eileen loved being on the water whether it be the ocean, lake, or pool. She truly enjoyed being with her family and friends laughing and spending quality time together. One of her favorite titles was “NeeNee” to her grandson. Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Bernard, her mother, Patricia, her brother, Michael, her brother, Timothy, and her brother, John. She is survived by her husband, Allen, her son, David (Jennifer), her daughter, Jennifer (Joey), her sister, Mary, her sister, Carol, her brother, William, her grandson, Josiah, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
