On Saturday, January 5th, 2019, Jo (Eileen) Shoemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away after a long battle with appendix cancer at the age of 56. Eileen was born on December 29th, 1962 in Camp Lejeune, NC to Bernard and Patricia (Summers) Donoghue. She Married her Husband, Allen William Shoemaker Jr. on December 15th, 1984. They raised a son, David Allen Shoemaker, and a daughter, Jennifer Ann (Shoemaker) Delph. Eileen had such a love for life and everyone around her. She has always been known for her quick wit, beautiful smile, contagious laugh, her kind and compassionate spirit, and her strong faith. Eileen loved being on the water whether it be the ocean, lake, or pool. She truly enjoyed being with her family and friends laughing and spending quality time together. One of her favorite titles was “NeeNee” to her grandson. Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Bernard, her mother, Patricia, her brother, Michael, her brother, Timothy, and her brother, John. She is survived by her husband, Allen, her son, David (Jennifer), her daughter, Jennifer (Joey), her sister, Mary, her sister, Carol, her brother, William, her grandson, Josiah, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 19th, 2019 at St. William Church (4932 Easley Avenue, Millington, TN) at 11am

Eileen was so full of life. Always had a smile on her face. We lost contact for many years and Facebook reconnected us. We were lucky to be able to spend some time with her before her time was cut short. We will always remember her. We are so sorry for your loss; may time help your pain and heal your hearts.
