Loretta Lamb
Jim Lamb was my Father-in-Law. He came up to visit Denny and myself in Maine a couple of times. We remember those times well.
I found out that Jim loved the same thing I did - Ice-Cream! So him and I visited every Ice Cream place in Waldo County Maine. Our final, top of the list, was John's Ice Cream Parlor, in Liberty, Maine that made their own ice cream right on the premises. We both loved the Raspberry Cream Cone, size large of course. When Jjm had his ice cream he never spoke a word, he was in heaven! As he is now!
Jim also liked to read the local newspaper here in Maine, to get a feel for what was happening around town, he got a big kick out of some of the comments in the local papers.
Jim also enjoyed watching western movies with me. He would be so intent on watching them it was fun to be with him.
Most of all he loved my cooking, every meal that I cooked for him was an event and he eat every bit of it and thanked me many times. I'm a northern gal, so my cooking was different than what he was used to, but you'd never know it the way he ate everything up.
He came to visit one time and brought Aunt Alice with him, (she's a peach), all of us had a great time that visit.
Denny and I will miss him forever, never to be forgotten. Denny tell me lots of stories about growing up with Mom (Thea) and Dad, and sometimes the stories are funny.
We miss you Jim, your were a good man and took care of everybody you knew and who needed help all through the years. We'll see you in Heaven Jim, we love you very much,
Denny and Loretta Lamb
