JACQUELYN LOUISE SCHAFFER CREWS 84, of Millington, Tn passed away on January 24 after a lengthy battle with Alzehiemers. Jackie is survived by her husband of 67 years, George, her daughters, Jana Deen (Joe), Vicki Knych (Ken), and Lisa Burress (Chris), 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Hunter, Heather, Clayton and Wiley, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; Clifford and Jewel Daugherty Schaffer and grandson Carter Knych. Jackie was born in Lilbourn, Mo, then attended school in Sikeston, Mo. She and her husband George, eventually settled in Memphis where they raised a family for the next 50 years. She retired from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Memphis Typographical Auxiliary where she served a term as president. She enjoyed being an active member of the Overton Band Booster Club, gardening, sewing, camping at Woodrun and time spent with her daughters and families. Jackie wished to support the Genesis Legacy program in Memphis Tn as a donor. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.Read Obituary
My prayers and sympathies go out to Vicki, Jana, Lisa and Mr. Crews. I always remembered Mrs. Crews as a smart woman who loved her family. I pray that the sweet memories of their mom comfort the family during this difficult time. And what a selfish, final act of kindness to use the Genesis Foundation.

Jackie was like a 2nd mom to me. I was over at Vicki's house all the time. We took trips camping together and they would always let me spend the night at their house. Many wonderful memories. Rest in peace, Jackie.
George and Jackie were dear friends of my parents when they resided in Muncie, IN My mother also is struggling with Dementia and I know very well what the Crews family has endured. Have comfort in knowing your loved one sits at the feet of Jesus and is smiling down at you. Thank you for being friends of my parents for over 60 years. May God Bless you.
