Helen F. Rice

Helen F. Rice, 84, of Lakeland, TN passed away July 1, 2018. She was born September 10, 1933 in Hickman, KY to Clifford and Lovie Young. She was married to Clarence Thurston Rice for 44 years before his passing. Helen worked at Sears Roebuck for 39 years. After retiring she was a caregiver to several families in the community and neighboring communities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston Rice and daughter, Michelle Rice. She is survived by her son, Earnest Lee High of Brighton, TN; daughters, Janice M. Ray of Las Vegas, NV, Deborah A. Cote of Fort Worth, TX, Tina M. Miley of Fort Worth, TX; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday (July 10) from 10am until the service at 11am at the Millington Chapel. Interment to follow in New Salem Cemetery.
