Covington, Tn Elizabeth June Sherrod, a retired minister for New Life Community Church, passed away at home on October 27, 2019. She was 86, and is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Sherrod. Mrs. Sherrod also leaves her daughter, Sherrie Laws; son, James Denson; grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Hays, James Hartsoe, Jamie Fisher, Clarence Laws, Harley Laws, John Laws, Tim Lovins, Chrystal G. Lovins; great-grandchildren, Nathan Hays, Anna Hays, Chase Laws, Axton Laws, Parker Laws, Jay-Lynn Laws, Jack Sterling, Savannah Lovins, Zachary Lovins, and Colton Lovins. She was predeceased by her daughters, Donna Dell Kiphart, and Deborah Lovins. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the service at 2pm on Sunday, November 3rd at Munford Funeral Home-Munford Chapel. Interment will follow at Morrison's Cemetery in Brighton. Where do you being to give tribute to such a special lady? A true servant of our Lord who lived for and praised him every day of her life. Although our hearts are broken and we grieve our loss here on Earth, you are finally in the loving arms of Jesus. I know heaven got a whole lot happier on Sunday when you came home. I know Granny, Mama, Daddy, Uncle Ed, Aunt Bootsy, and Donna were waiting for you with open arms. We were so fortunate to have had you here with us and are so thankful for everything you did for us.
