Millington, TN – Carole Audrey Williams, 78, died Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the home of her daughter in Looxahoma Mississippi. She died peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Carole leaves her daughter Robin Burroughs and son-in-law Tim Burroughs, son Jimmy Dupree and daughter-in-law Carol Dupree, son Jason Dupree and daughter-in-law Susan Dupree, son Andy Dupree and daughter-in-law Jodi Dupree; grandchildren Brittani Aiken, Keaton Burroughs, Katlyn Walker, Ethan Dupree, Katherine (Katie) Dupree, William Dupree, Andrew Dupree, Olivia Dupree and Gianna Dupree; and great grandchild Owen Walker. All of her family knew how deeply they were loved by her. She was quick to show pictures of her family to anyone who was interested. Born and raised in Harrisville, New York, the daughter of Watson Avery and Kathleen Mildred Ripley, she lived most of her life in Millington, Tennessee. Carole’s career consisted of several reception and secretarial positions, but her favorite role was that of a greeter at the Millington Chick Fila. She always had a smile and was quick to lend a helping hand to any visitor there. Her passion though was for her church. There is not a role that she didn’t play at Crosspointe Baptist Church in Millington – nursery worker, greeter, usher, counselor and choir member. Everyone loved to see Carole singing and worshipping in the choir or praying for them as needed. Her body will be cremated and a celebration service planned for late summer, following the lift of the COVID-19 quarantine.
