Funerals and Covid-19
At Munford Funeral Home, the health and safety of our customers and staff continues to be a top priority. With the relaxing of the safer at home order, we are cautiously moving forward with "modified" funeral services and arrangement conferences. To maintain social distancing, we would ask that no more than four (4) people come to the funeral home when making funeral arrangements. Here are the options that we will offer families from this date forward and for the foreseeable future:
- For those families who wish to continue with social distancing and limit their exposure, we will continue to offer private, family only services. These services will not have dates and times listed in any obituary.
- For those families who want a larger service but not a completely private service, we will suggest a service with immediate family members and selected friends. These services will not have dates and times listed in any obituary. For those families who want a public service, we will certainly be able to accommodate that request. However, we would ask that social distancing be observed and those who are considered part of the high-risk population refrain from attending. Additionally, we will be reducing the seating in our chapel by half in order to maintain social distancing. These services will have dates and times published in any obituary.
- All of the above service options will allow for live streaming on our Facebook page with family consent. We would ask that no food or drink be brought in to the funeral home from an outside source during this time.
We have raised our already high health standards by disinfecting the chapel, visitation rooms, arrangement room and restrooms to insure the health and wellbeing of those who come to the funeral home as well as our employees. Additionally, we have a very dedicated team, but we have encouraged them to stay home if they begin running fever or having flu like systems.
Thank you for trusting us to serve you.
