Susanna Michels Smith, of Millington, TN was born March 8, 1940 in Eigelscheid, Germany and passed away May 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Smith, Jr.; parents, Josef Michels and Elizabeth Tautges; brothers, Helmet Michels and Herman-Josef Michels. Survivors include her children, Rick (Karen) Smith, Linda (Keith) Daniels, Tricia (Brad) Glenn, Christopher Smith; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Luzie Tescher, Leni Thurman, Paula Gäbler, Martha Dörn, Gerti Schmitz, Mia Josten and Cecile Smith. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.Read Obituary
