Franklin "Frank" Eidson passed away peacefully Sunday, February 25, 2018, after bravely battling an illness. He was born in Holcomb, Mississippi, on September 21, 1932 to Carl and Bessie Eidson and had eleven siblings. He graduated from Holcomb High School and attended Mississippi State University. Mr. Eidson was a veteran of the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. Hancock. He was a firefighter for the Memphis Fire Department for 31 years and retired as a Captain. He then took on the role of Safety and Security Coordinator for Trezevant Manor, an upscale retirement community, for 25 years. Mr. Eidson was a lifelong member of Schoolfield United Methodist Church and a current member of Ellendale United Methodist Church. Mr. Eidson is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Flora Pairmore Eidson, a son, R. Keith Eidson (Kathy), two grandchildren, Emma and Parker Eidson, his sister, June Byford, nephews, Larry Prather and Carl Duncan, a niece, Barbara Ann Dean, and many other family members and friends. Frank Eidson was a highly respected man loved by all who knew him. The visitation will be Tuesday, February 27 from 9:00 am until the service time at 10:00 am at the Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel.
